OFMPII - Project Coordinator

Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency invites applications for the position of Project Coordinator under the Pacific Islands Oceanic Fisheries Management(OFM) Project II. The position holder will be responsible for the coordination of the day to day project activities, including supervision of the Project Management Unit (PMU) staff, reporting on staff activities and project progress, and external relations for the Project.

The project Coordinator will be responsible for coordination with organisations involved in the implementation and execution of the Project inlcuding, GEF, UNDP, FAO, SOC, PITIA, WWF, PNA, TVM and other executing partners. The position holder will have responsibility for coordinating liaison with the Regional Steering Committee, National Focal Points and National Consultative Committees over the annual work plan for the project, and with representatives of other relevant projects, programmes and stakeholder groups.

The Project Cooridnator will report to the Director Fisheries Management of FFA and will liaise closely with UNDP Regional Technical Advisor for International Waters in Bangkok and FAO.The Chief Technical Advisor/Project Coordinator wil lalso liaise closely with the FFA Director Corporate Services concerning the financial and budgetary responsibilities of the position.
