Finance and Administration Officer

Background:

The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) has received grant financing from the World Bank International Development Agency (IDA) for the preparation and implementation of the Pacific Islands Regional Oceanscape Program – Second Phase for Economic Resilience (PROPER). FFA is an intergovernmental regional agency established to facilitate regional cooperation and coordination on fisheries policies between its member states in order to achieve conservation and optimum utilisation of living marine resourcesfor the benefit of the people of the region.

FFA is seeking an experienced Finance and Administration Officer to be part of the project’s management unit (PMU). The Finance and Administration Officer will be responsible for undertaking the financial management, recording and reporting aspects of the FFA PROPER project and will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions and reporting are in accordance with the Legal Agreements between FFA and the World Bank.

The Finance and Administration Officer will be engaged through an Individual Consultant Contract for national consultants from within the Solomon Islands. The successful candidate will work with other staff of the PMU and will report to the PROPER Project Coordinator.

Remuneration: 

The minimum remuneration package for the role is SBD84,678 per year (before tax), plus housing, holiday and medical allowances.
