The Forum Fisheries Agency is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for its position of Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Honiara, Solomon Islands. The position is part of the IT Team in the Fisheries Operations Division of FFA. This role is offered on a 3 year contract. 

The Key Result Areas of the position includes the following-:

- Local Areas Network and Wide Area Network Administration;

- Systems Administration;

- Vessel Monitoring System Support and remote administration; and

- User support. 

To be considered for this role you will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in IT with an emphasis on networking, security, systems administration, or equivalent. You will also have demosntrated experience administering and maintaining LAN/WAN network infrastructure for a small to mid-sized organisation. Additionally, significant expereinece in any of the core technology systems (Distributed and client-server technology of Windows and Linux server administration, VMW environment administration, hot site/disaster recovery site technology and services, TCP/IP based network management, wireless network technology and RF principles, Google suite applications for business email/video conferencing, PABX/IP, PBS/VOIP PSTN systems).
