Deputy Director-General

The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency invites applications from nationals of FFA member countries for the position of Deputy Director-General. Applicants must provide an endorsement of their candidature from their Government. 

The position is responsible for leadership, oversight and management of the Agency's fisheries technical functions and for maintenance of a high standard of corporate governance, including in the development, administration and implementation of the Annual Work Program and Budget (AWPB). Direct reports of nine staff in internationally advertised positions including the four (4) Heads of Divisions, and the Legal Counsel, Internal Auditor and Training Adviser. 

 

The Deputy Director-General is a key position in the management team of FFA. The DD-G provides leadership on key issues and overisight of the work of all four Divisional Directors in progressing both technical and corporate outcomes.
