The Forum Fisheries Agency is seeking an energetic professional with proven international procurement experience to be part of the World Bank funded Pacific Islands Regional Oceanscape Program (PROP) Project Management Unit located in FFA.
The program is aimed at addressing fisheries components of the broader Pacific Regional Oceanscape Framework that was endorsed by Pacific Island leaders in 2010.
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for;
- managing regional procurement and working with national implementing agencies on procurement at the national level,
- ensure implementation of procurement plans for the project which includes procurement for goods and services and consultancies necessary for implementing the activities of the projects.
The successful applicant is expected to have a tertiary degree in procurement, business administration/law, commerce and/or other qualification relevant to the demands of the role. And at least 5 years of experience in procurement of goods and services particularly in natural resource management context
An attractive remuneration package at Band 11 of the FFA Salary Structure will be provided to the successful applicant. The minimum salary plus basic allowances provide an annual pay package of around USD$70,000. The salary is tax free for nationals of most countries and there are additional allowances and benefits.
