The Forum Fisheries Agency is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and dynamic professional with the relevant credentials to become part of our Fisheries Operations Team.

The position of Surveillance Operations Assistant offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional team providing services that promote, secure and protect FFA members’ rights at national, regional and international level.

The Surveillance Operations Assistant’s role is to provide administrative and operational level support to the efficient and effective operation of the Regional Fisheries Surveillance Centre and contribute to the achievement of Fisheries Operations objectives

The Surveillance Operations Assistant will report to the Surveillance Operations Officer and will be responsible for two staff members. The post will be based at the FFA Secretariat in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

1. Regional Fisheries Surveillance Centre Operations

2. Database and Information Management

3. Information & Communication

The successful applicant will be expected to have a Diploma in maritime or fisheries related field with at least 4 years technical experience in Maritime/Fisheries enforcement.

An attractive remuneration package at Band 8 of the FFA Salary Structure will be provided to the successful applicant. The minimum base salary provide an annual pay package of around SBD$104,383 plus a Housing Allowance of SBD$36,000 per annum.
