Papua New Guinea: Dumping of Waste at Sea Act 1979
An Act– (a) to provide for the prevention of pollution of the sea by the dumping of waste and other matter which may create hazards to human health, harm living resources and marine life, damage amenities or interfere with other legitimate uses of the sea; and (b) to give effect in Papua New Guinea as far as may be, to the International Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and other Matter, 1972, and for related purposes.
