Port State Measures (PSM) play a crucial role and is an essential tool in addressing the global fight against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, supporting responsible and sustainable fishing practices. PSM can prevent IUU-caught fish from entering into national and international markets, and provides the foundation for further work in the area of catch certification and Catch Documentation Scheme (CDS).
